Shana Murph

Founder / CEO

Shana Murph is a creative professional with 25 years of experience in book publishing, e-learning and digital media. She’s worked as a developmental editor, a copy editor, a proofreader and a project manager for Christian, education, trade, and STEM publishers.

In 2018 Shana founded Revise and Rewrite Editorial LLC to provide editorial and digital media services to organizations, nonprofits, and publishers. After two decades of serving authors and helping them fulfill their publishing goals, she now splits her time between working on creative pursuits as an artist and author and providing creative services.

For authors she provides developmental editing, editorial review/critique, author brand guidance, and copy/line editing services.

For businesses and nonprofits she provides copywriting, website development, newsletter creation services and social media management, which includes event coverage, content development/strategy, video post editing, growth strategy and graphic design.

Shana wrote Prepping for the Bookshelf: Master Planning Tips and Publishing Strategies for Indie Authors in 2021 (2nd edition coming soon) and will release her memoir Editing While Black in 2024. She is also the author of a guided emotional wellness journal for writers entitled Soul Detox and specializes in the Black Christian market (nondenominational and Baptist), music, the visual arts, and women’s health.
